Albert Rocky Pimentel

Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer

As chief operating officer and chief financial officer, Rocky Pimentel is responsible for leading all worldwide finance, IT, facilities, and manufacturing functions, reporting directly to chief executive officer and president David DeWalt. Since joining McAfee in 2008, Pimentel has focused on worldwide financial operations, driving the global expansion of McAfee's security products to the consumer and corporate markets, and overseeing new business development and acquisitions.

Pimentel is a technology industry veteran with more than 30 years of change-management experience with small, midsize, and large companies. He served as the executive vice president and chief financial officer at Glu Mobile and at Zone Labs, where he oversaw the company's successful negotiation and merger with Check Point Software Technologies.

Before Zone Labs, Pimentel was a partner at Redpoint Ventures, where he managed the firm's operational activities, and contributed to the development of business and new investments. He was formerly senior vice president and chief financial officer at both LSI Logic and WebTV Networks, which was acquired by Microsoft. Pimentel was also on the founding management team of Conner Peripherals, which was acquired by Seagate Technology.

Pimentel has served on the board of directors for a number of public and private companies. He served as the first corporate controller for Seagate Technology. Pimentel is also a member of the editorial advisory board for CFO magazine, a publication of The Economist magazine. In addition, he is the advisory board vice chair of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Santa Clara University's Leavey School of Business.

Pimentel received a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from Santa Clara University.

Pimentel lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his family.
